STRANGE!!!

Echt, ein wirklich seltsamer Anime.
Der Zeichenstil ist sehr "seltsam", aber passt wirklich. Und wird sehr geil in spezielen Scenen eingesetzt.
Der Anime ist echt lustig. Man sollte ihn gesehen haben, vorallem wenn man was "anderes" sehen will.

Abendfüllender Film von 1999.

Vielleicht noch was zum Plot:
Based on Hisaichi ISHII's comic strip Tonari no Yamada-kun, this film is about the daily lives of the Yamada family: Takashi and Matsuko (the father and mother), Shige (Matsuko's mother), Noboru (the son), Nonoko (the daughter), and Pochi (the family dog). (...) The style of animation itself is completely different. Mononokehime [sic] was drawn in fine detail, but the characters in Tonari no Yamada-kun are depicted mainly in outline form, with hints at the background. The colors are pastels. The sequences in which characters from the original, four-frame comic strip of the same title begin to move are packed with new ideas and surprises.

The film, which runs 44 minutes [sic, actually about 1 hour 44 minutes] and has very little plot, depicts simply and humorously the life of an ordinary family centering on a married couple--Matsuko (voice of Yukiji Asaoka) and Takashi (Toru Masuoka).

The family encounters a series of funny but universal episodes, with nice comic timing. The viewer quickly grows to like this irresponsible, slovenly and lazy family and their down-to-earth way of life.

There is no doubt that, in its own way, this film is an important work, like Mononokehime [sic]. Although it may give a more subdued impression, compared to previous Ghibli productions, you will find Tonari no Yamada-kun just as satisfying as its predecessors.

Einer der wenigen Ghibli-Filme bei denen Joe Hisayashi mal nicht für den Soundtrack verantwortlich war. Trotzdem ist der Soundtrack für die Untermalung des Films gelungen - aber eher nix zum downloaden  [25]
Der Humor ist recht feinfühlig - keine Haudraufkracher wie beispielsweise bei Excel Saga oder Slayers - aber wer erwartet das schon bei einer Ghibli-Produktion?! (nicht das ich was gegen Excel Saga oder Slayers hätte, im Gegenteil)
Obwohl dies vielleicht einer der unebkannteren Miyazaki-Produktionen ist, sollte man sich den Film zwingend anschauen.
