ich find auch esf geil , man kann sich da auch in einen sjj verwandeln usw.  ich hoffe du weisst dass der smiley nicht dazu passt, oder ?? Naja, ESF hat im netzwerk nie gefunzt. eigentlich schade. Deshalb bevorzuge ich lieber bid4 power für ein gewissen indieziertes game mit der Quake3 engine

Well SoS fans, the day has come to make one of our biggest announcements. As of now, SoS has reached standalone state with no looking back. Everything you see from here on out will be taken from The standalone engine.
But, that's only half the announcement. The seond half is the announcement of the first scheduld beta. That's right, I said beta. This coming February, you will have the first installment of SoS in your hands.
Here is a list of things to be featured in the beta:
Ragdoll physics Melee hit zones Fully functional Melee system Fully functioning energy system Animated hair Music playback using the ogg file compression format Deathmatch gamemode ClanArena Gamemode Rpg-(incomplete) Gamemode 'Transformation system' Dragonball System -------------------------- Well, it's Monday, the second of February. As you all know, we're working quite hard on the beta. Work behind the scenes is progressing quite hard. A media section revamp is scheduled as the beta work is completed.
Here are a few notes about what's going on:
The official release date of the first beta is Monday, February 23rd
Beta Updates will follow after the initial beta every 3 months. Including code updates, new modes, models/map etc
A composite list of probable models in the beta has been assembled. At last report there will be 4 models in the beta. Those models are BD Goku, Perfect Cell (impect still being skinned), Armored Trunks and Armored Vegeta.
The models will look sharper and cleaner than ever. Efforts are under way to raise the detail level on the skins as we bring them over to the standalone engine. Goku and Vegeta have already passed the treatment. Shen Long is currently being upgraded for an even more intense "wishing" experience. *See Below
Alendor is working hard on the animations assuring that they will be of the highest quality. It's possible that the animations for the melee will not be polished by the beta release. In that case, there would be an update patch with a fully polished melee system within a few weeks of the release.
A number of maps are being "polished" with new features and upgrades to ensure the best quality upon beta release. Expect to see fresh updates of "Kame House" and "The Eldest Namek" maps on the web page (Guru model included).
The about section is currently being updated and rewritten. It wil contain detailed explanations of many new features, inclluding the mentioned "karma" system. We hope that this system, developed in brainstorming sessions throughout December, will make your SoS experience that much more enjoyable. Another extra touch of DBZ.
An all new stylish menu system is under development and will be revealed this week. Let's just say it should be quite unique and fun

Saviour Of Strength is a standalone DBZ Game based on the Quake2 engine open sourced by iD Software. The Quake2 Engine has undergone extensive enhancements in order to bring you up to date features and effects for your esthetic pleasure.
The list of additional features being brought to you by the enhanced Quake2 Engine:
+ Support for vertex programs + Support for per-pixel lighting and tangent space bump-mapping + Surface shader scripting language resembling that of Quake3's with additional "opcodes" + Level space partioning has undergone extensive upgrades to allow for combined octree/bsp vis support + "Infinite" level system hierarchy allows for completely deformable terrain and realistic environmental effects in realtime + Kinematics and Inverse Kinematics skeletal animation system.
The GPL that stands with the complete Quake2 source, still stands with SoS ( of course ) and with every official beta OR tech-beta/tech-demo, the modified engine source will be released. Although the source will be released the actual SoSgame source may not be released for quite a long time inorder to disable most common methods for cheating, instead a generic source that is compatible with quake2 will be released.
Whilst providing great new features that exploit the abilities of the newer range of graphics cards such as the ATI Radeons, GeForce3's & GeForce4's, the team here are Saviour Of Strength are aiming to replicate DBZ into a atmospheric multi-player & RPG game.
